Game Description
ACTION GAME MAKER is a set of tools for developing 2D action games. As part of a software series, it is structured for use by professionals with varying levels of game design experience. The system provides access to functions without the need for programming knowledge. This toolkit is built on the Godot Engine and includes a collection of samples and assets to lay the foundation for future projects. This opens up opportunities for creating both small experimental titles and more developed gameplay mechanics.
The toolkit runs on an enhanced node-based visual scripting system. This approach eliminates the need for programming experience, making it possible to assemble game logic in a visual format. Creators connect elements called Actions to form the operating rules for their creation. This system allows you to quickly prototype and test concepts, bringing ideas to life in an interactive manner without delay. In ACTION GAME MAKER, this visual process is the central method for building mechanics, although GDScript support is also provided for those who want to go beyond this.
Developers can structure their titles as side-scrolling or top-down projects. This core choice is suitable for a variety of genres, including platformers and adventures. The range of genres is expanding with support for horror, shooters and puzzles, which gives users greater creative freedom to realize their concepts. The software uses the 2D pipeline from Godot Engine 4.3, and its key features include an interface modeled after Godot’s UI. To design game levels, a tile map editor with an auto-tiling function is also available, which greatly simplifies the process of creating detailed locations.
