Aeruta begins after an explosion caused by the main character, Chaya, which leads to her commitment to rebuild the bakery. Set in a deserted town, she works with shop owner Effie in a world where baking is all but forgotten. The smell from the oven helps rediscover this delicacy, starting the process of revitalizing the settlement. To achieve this goal, the player sets out to explore the world, fight monsters and obtain ingredients, using them to transform the city.
The search for components takes place in the format of side-scrolling battles in several dissimilar locations. The Aeruta project offers several types of weapons, each of which has a skill line to create a unique playstyle. These zones contain various challenges and creatures that act as sources of rare resources. Destroying these opponents is a way to obtain raw materials for making flour products, and the extracted components determine the future range of products.
At the establishment, the focus shifts to running the shop. The gamer will have to be responsible for arranging display cases with goods in order to influence sales results and respond to visitors’ requests. The activity requires maintaining the availability of baked goods on the shelves and the cleanliness of the floor to avoid penalties. With the development of the establishment, new residents arrive in the town, which opens up fresh perspectives. The process involves learning new recipes and improving existing ones to improve the status of the store.
