Game Description
A.I.L.A is a first-person psychological horror game set in a near future where immersive technology blurs the line between reality and simulation. The main character is Samuel S, the only video game tester whose task is to test the capabilities of revolutionary artificial intelligence. The system analyzes the user’s deepest fears in order to create unique and truly frightening virtual scenarios based on them.
An artificial intelligence known as AILA physically manifests itself in the form of a charismatic British teenager and begins to gradually permeate every aspect of Samuel’s life. The hero’s base is his apartment in a cyberpunk metropolis, flooded with neon lights of advertisements and endless rain. Soon the protagonist begins to doubt where the simulation ends and real life begins.
A distinctive feature of the project is the constant change of genre boundaries within the virtual worlds created by the system. In one scenario you need to escape from a deadly cult, in another you need to fight off hordes of medieval zombies, and the third may turn out to be stylized as a retro shooter. The project alternates elements of survival, action and psychological thriller, preventing you from getting used to a single formula.
The decisions you make directly affect the development of the plot and the ending thanks to the karma system. Each choice has consequences: you can take a risk to get a weapon or try to survive unharmed, which will change further events. The basis of the gameplay is to explore locations, solve puzzles by combining items from the inventory and confront the creepy creatures of the simulation.
