Airhead differs from other metroidvanias in that you have to play with two creatures at once. The plot is told through silent cutscenes. The body falls into the abyss and ends up in the caves. A mysterious humanoid, while exploring a dungeon, suddenly finds a dying head after being attacked by a machine. And not simple, but airy and living separately. He teams up with her and becomes Airhead.

Taurus can swim, run and jump, climb and cling to vines, push and pull objects, and also attach a new friend to itself. The head can fly (if it is properly inflated) and receive new abilities. The acquired skills visually change her. The head itself in the Airhead must be regularly pumped up with air from special cylinders so that it does not die from a lack of gas mixture. Two unusual heroes will have to join forces to defeat the mechanical antagonist and return the head to its former powers. Over time, their connection will strengthen, which will increase gameplay variety and allow you to find secrets.

The graphics here are three-dimensional, but the camera is located on the side. Technically, the project can be classified as a 2.5D game. The gameplay consists of exploring ruins and dungeons, solving puzzles, and platforming. Various obstacles will hinder your exploration of mysterious locations. To go further, you will need to unlock a certain skill. For example, a big-headed companion can learn to illuminate dark passages with bright light from its eyes. This will not only allow you to get into a previously inaccessible area, but will also scare away some opponents. Sometimes you have to unhook your head to get into certain parts of the levels - the same underwater zones. It should be borne in mind that the local fauna will try to steal it. Some creatures are able to help in the adventure, while others will become opponents.
