Game Description

Alchemist’s Alcove takes the player on a journey through ancient lands, collecting components from defeated enemies to create spells, tools and weapons. The process of battle and discovery is central to the gameplay, and the remains of opponents become the basis for a growing arsenal. Heroes navigate the territories of warring factions using a grid-based map, pursuing the ultimate goal of creating the Philosopher’s Stone through turn-based combat and exploration of the world.

Progression in the Alchemist’s Alcove title is not based on constant character improvements, but on the accumulation of information. The personal notebook is replenished with information about the world and its inhabitants, for which it is necessary to study enemies and their habits. The knowledge gained directly affects strategy and survival, because understanding the mechanics of this game is the main way to move forward. Each cycle of struggle adds to this expanding database.

The open world of the project has a fixed structure with a constant environment and iconic places available for exploration in each race. This static map contains many locations to discover. The item creation system also requires the gamer to competently manage resources to produce a wide range of things. It is necessary to strategically allocate materials obtained in battle to create equipment, ranging from catalysts for spells to specialized weapons and useful tools.
