Game Description
Astro Prospector puts the player in command of a ship with a dual mission: resource extraction and direct confrontation with the corporation. Primary activities include forays into asteroid fields to obtain materials called cofferoids controlled by SpaceCorp. In addition to collecting valuables, the key goal of the mission is to capture AstroCoffee seeds from the structure’s storage facilities. This creates a conflict in which the gamer’s actions represent a campaign to free the product from monopoly for the benefit of humanity.
Astro Prospector’s gameplay is structured like an incremental bullet hell game where survival and progression are closely linked. You need to navigate through 25 different zones, each of which presents unique enemy vehicles and ends with a boss battle. Opposing forces actively impede progress by filling the screen with projectiles, requiring constant maneuvering to avoid destruction. The challenge is to dodge attacks while disabling vehicles deployed by SpaceCorp, combining flight mechanics with shooter elements.
Leveling up is controlled by an upgrade system focused on the starship, which is the only tool for mining and combat. An extensive skill tree opens the way to increasing the ship’s power and gaining special functions as you progress in the game. New abilities and skills are acquired not only by spending what has been accumulated, but also by completing specific tasks and systematically destroying automated divisions of the corporation. With over 100 individual upgrades to implement, the ship undergoes constant incremental improvements to enhance its combat effectiveness against a powerful enemy.
