Astroloot combines top-down combat with RPG systems in a sci-fi universe. Players travel through the Astroloot sector, a region of space full of enemies and valuable items. The main gameplay is to eliminate enemy units, collect the resources they leave behind and gain experience points. This sequence of actions forms the basis for leveling up the character, combining the dynamics of an arena shooter with the mechanics of hack and slash.

Customization in Astroloot begins with choosing one of 3 ship archetypes: Leviathan, Hyperion or Chronos. Further specialization is achieved through a skill tree containing over 1000 nodes and influencing gameplay. Additional customization is achieved through equipment that includes hundreds of items capable of up to 6 functional modifiers. Such mechanics allow you to create a wide variety of builds, changing battle tactics.

The item creation system completely eliminates the element of chance. Using 9 types of special dice, the gamer sees the exact result of the modification even before applying it. This title is focused on single player play, allowing you to independently find and create equipment without connecting to the network. For co-op play, there is a two-player mode, launched over a local network or via the Internet.
