Game Description
Basingstoke is an action-adventure roguelike with stealth elements that is used in specific locations to achieve a goal set by the developers from a small indie team. The arcade controls and fast-paced gameplay work well together to entice more people to try Basingstoke. The gamer will have to explore the ruins of the fictional world of the same name, created specifically based on the real Great Britain. The universe is inhabited by giant hordes of monsters and ravaged by alien invasions, which has had a detrimental effect on the prospects for further growth of the local inhabitants.
The player will have to gain control over more than one character; all subsequent personalities except the starting tourist are unlocked in a special store. Each protagonist has a personal set of unique abilities that are inaccessible to others, as well as their own recipes for crafting items from improvised means, which are collected while exploring accessible territories. Collectibles are hidden in the locations – coins of several denominations. They motivate you to study every corner of the map to find all the secrets.
