In Beatblock, the player controls a platform located in the center of a circular arena. As the character Cranky, you need to intercept blocks that appear in time with the melody. This action requires constant rotation to meet targets that appear around the perimeter. Gameplay is complicated by the introduction of four different types of blocks, each requiring a different approach to eliminate. Each track is a self-contained level with a unique visual style, in which the main goal is to score points.

Progression in the Beatblock game is structured by the Atom Map, starting with teaching basic mechanics. Players will have to go through 25 compositions, first mastering four types of blocks separately, and then encountering new combinations of them. For experienced gamers, test levels with complex rhythmic patterns combining previously learned elements have been prepared. A marathon mode is also available, offering a continuous selection of tracks to test your concentration and endurance over a long session.

The built-in level editor provides tools for creating custom content. It allows you to design maps for your own compositions, placing blocks and customizing effects to build unique stages. This tool is identical to that used to develop the main levels of the project. Further customization is available through unlockable costumes for the Cranky character, allowing you to visually personalize him. Gameplay can be customized using a range of accessibility features to suit your personal preferences.
