Game Description
Beyond R: Rule Ripper is a visual novel that places ten strangers in a ruthless game of survival. Finding themselves locked in the mysterious Golden Jack bar, they learn from the mysterious Boss that they have been poisoned. The only chance of salvation lies in following the rules or breaking them completely, setting the stage for a tense psychological thriller.
The ultimate goal for each of the captives is to survive until there are three or fewer people left alive. What makes Beyond R: Rule Ripper unique in its gameplay is that each of the ten characters secretly represents one of the rules. Violation of one’s own rule remains unpunished, but disobedience to someone else’s instructions leads to inevitable death, after which the corresponding rule disappears forever, narrowing the circle of suspicion.
Key moments unfold during the so-called Councils - intense discussions where the group decides its future fate. These debates are visualized like a game of pool, requiring the protagonist to be able to influence opinions and steer the conversation in a safe direction. Success depends on understanding the personalities of your opponents, including the hot-tempered Poker, the eccentric Lime, as well as the gloomy Vodka and the cold-blooded Coffee.
The intimate atmosphere of the Golden Jack bar is enhanced by a stylish jazz soundtrack of over 40 tracks. The project offers high replayability due to more than 25 different endings leading to one True Ending. Every decision made has weight, forcing you to carefully analyze the consequences of your actions to achieve the desired outcome.
