Game Description
Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus is a bright platformer that invites you to play as a charming heroine who is a heavenly flower. The girl has acrobatic abilities, and her deadly weapon is an earring. Together with the girl you will need to explore a mysterious world inspired by Japanese mythology. The game features many colorful and memorable characters with whom you can interact.
The gameplay combines elements of classic 2D platformer and metroidvania. Receiving abilities, the heroine gradually becomes available to new locations or hidden rooms. You will need to use a bo staff, which allows you to fly up onto high platforms and ledges. The platforming sections in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus stand out for their hardcore difficulty. Jumping is built on precision, so any mistake can cost the heroine her life.
Additional abilities must be unlocked by drinking a mysterious tea, which gives the bo staff advanced capabilities: dash, grappling hook, hammer, etc. Collecting special daruma dolls unlocks a variety of bonuses to help you on your adventure. Monsters are creatures from Japanese folklore, such as yokai. In addition to ordinary enemies, you will need to fight epic bosses. There are many main and side quests available. After completing secondary tasks, various upgrades become available to players.
