Breaking Gates is a metroidvania with beat-em-up elements. Explore a vibrant fantasy world filled with various secrets and numerous enemies. Collect gear, unlock new types of equipment, unlock powerful perks and power-ups, and fight incredibly powerful bosses, each of which poses a serious threat.

The combat system is based on a combination of strikes. Unlock new abilities and fight enemies with a chain of blows and enhanced attacks. Lift your enemy into the air and don’t let him make a single attack! Jump between platforms, dash forward, block, dodge and deliver deadly blows. Defeated enemies drop special fragments, collecting which you can upgrade your character.

The superpower is activated the moment you fill the special rage scale. At this moment, the Breaking Gates hero can launch a crushing attack on the adversary. It is necessary to collect different types of materials for pumping. To defeat high-level bosses, you will need to unlock legendary weapons.

The game takes place in the fictional world of Kyrian. A certain mysterious force appeared that began to create portals to another dimension, from where monsters began to arrive. You play as Hako and his friends - brave warriors called upon to defend the kingdom from invasion. Together with their mentor Igro, the heroes will have to close all the portals and bring calm and peace to the kingdom of Kyrian.
