Game Description

JRPG Breath of Fire 4 differs from similar projects in its unusual plot presentation. The user is allowed to immediately play as the protagonist and antagonist. Their stories alternate with each other. It is not necessary to be familiar with the previous parts, since chronologically this is a prequel to the entire series.

The action takes place in a fantasy world inhabited by people, anthropomorphic animals and fairy-tale creatures. A military conflict breaks out between the Fou Empire and the eastern kingdoms. The hero Ryu travels with Princess Nina from the state of Wyndia to help her find her sister Ellina. Meanwhile, the very first emperor Fou-Lu wakes up, founding an aggressive country. Both main characters have the ability to transform into dragons. In the future, their destinies will be intertwined. Breath of Fire 4 has some kind of achievements. Here you can meet craftsmen who allow party members to acquire new skills. To continue training, teachers will be asked to complete tasks: inflict a certain amount of damage on the enemy at a time, play a specific number of hours, find so many things, etc. Characters also learn skills directly during fights.

The combat is made in a traditional turn-based style. Participants in the fight can attack opponents, cast a spell, or use an item. The elemental interaction system allows you to build magical combos. At the end of the fight, fighters gain experience and increase levels. The maximum level here is 50th. As they level up, they gain characteristics such as striking power, agility, defense and wisdom. You can recruit up to 6 warriors into a squad, but only three can fight. All allies (Kray, Tsias, Ursula, Ershin and others) have some kind of unique skill. One flies, the other is able to move weights, etc. In addition to tactical battles and communication with NPCs, you can have fun with the help of mini-games. There is raising fairies, fishing, hide and seek, building a village, catching a rooster, boat trips and others. There is also a treasure hunt. Movement between locations is carried out on the global map.
