Game Description
Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons is a colorful adventure with roguelike elements set in a whimsical world made entirely of sweets. The gameplay revolves around exploring ever-changing dungeons and castles filled with dessert-shaped enemies. From the treasures found, special ingredients are obtained that are necessary to enhance the abilities of the main character. Repeated completion of levels allows you to accumulate resources for learning new skills, opening access to previously inaccessible areas. Thus, the gradual development of the character becomes the key to successful advancement into the depths of the candy mazes.
The main character is the dragon Bab, who will go on a journey through these unusual locations. A special feature of the Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons project is the procedural generation of levels. The stage structure, platform layout, and enemy layouts change with each new entry, providing a fresh experience. To move to the next stage through a special donut-shaped portal, you do not need to destroy absolutely all the monsters on the map, which adds variety to tactical approaches to passing.
The combat system is based on classic mechanics for the series: Bub catches enemies in bubbles. Then, using his horns or spikes, he bursts these bubbles, finally dealing with his opponents. Soap balls serve not only as weapons, but also as a means of transportation - you can jump on them to reach high ledges. The dragon’s arsenal has been replenished with new skills, including Water Bubbles, as well as the abilities Balloon Afro for free movement through the air and Rolling Attack for attacking enemies in motion.
