Game Description
Burkina Faso: Radical Insurgency sends an operative to a West African country in the midst of unrest due to militant activities. The gamer plays the role of a member of a CIA special operations team tasked with hunting down ISIS rebels. This single project consists of 6 non-linear assignments. The gameplay is based on the mechanics of permanent death: failure of the operation leads to the character’s progress being reset. The plot develops in a tense atmosphere of counter-terrorism struggle in a politically unstable region.
All preparation for forays in Burkina Faso: Radical Insurgency begins at the central base of operations. Here the player gets access to an arsenal for customizing the appearance and a workshop for modifying any of the 44 available barrels. Soldiers can change equipment and weapon attachments to suit expected combat conditions. Before going on a mission, a training ground is open, allowing you to test different sets of equipment and hone tactical maneuvers. This system provides detailed customization of equipment for specific tasks.
The combat system in the game is based on tactical realism and requires deliberate actions from the gamer. The fighter can peek from behind cover, move at a slow pace, and switch between high and low weapon stances. Unobstructed visibility and manual magazine checks to control ammunition levels increase situational awareness. Weapon controls are detailed: you can select the shooting mode and fire from the hip in close combat. These mechanics encourage methodical movement through locations and engagement with the enemy.
