Cauldrons of War - Barbarossa is a hardcore wargame set in the Second World War. Turn-based tactical strategy dedicated to the Second World War. There are 2 factions available in it: USSR and Nazi Germany. The period from the summer of 1941 to the winter of 1942 is covered. Gameplay for the Red Army and Wehrmacht troops differs. Both sides of the conflict are balanced with each other. The project emphasizes historical accuracy and realism.

Cauldrons of War – Barbarossa differs from other similar titles in the complete absence of hexagons and any cells. This indie project also offers to solve more significant problems and tasks. The player takes on the responsibilities of commander-in-chief. He will choose the type of operations (they will also be given the opportunity to participate in Barbarossa), determine the composition of the forces, deal with supplies, decide how far the troops should advance, think about the best way to destroy or encircle the enemy.

All events take place on the global map. From time to time, various events will occur in which the gamer will be asked to make a choice. The decisions made (sometimes tough ones) will lead to different consequences. There are even war crimes. The product boasts replayability. Several scenarios are available for battles on the Eastern Front. The game has a high barrier to entry. It has its own wiki built into it with a description of the main mechanics.
