Game Description

Cauldrons of War – Stalingrad is the second part of a small series of wargames. Like its predecessor, the title is set in the setting of World War II. This part is dedicated to the battles between Germany and the USSR. You can fight for both factions. Moreover, it is easier to play for the Germans than for the Soviet Union. The action takes place only on the Eastern Front. The video game covers the period from May 1942 to November of the same year. This turn-based strategy has a clear interface and simple mechanics. All this greatly lowers the barrier to entry for beginners. Players are presented with a set of scenarios of varying difficulty. Some of them last only one or two hours, while others take much longer.

Unlike other turn-based strategies, the map in this project is not divided into hexagons. The gamer is shown the front at a strategic level. It consists of different regions. They change depending on the military situation. The user manages entire operations and commands all advanced forces at once. He assigns units and uses command points to control them. In the Russian translation, the game is called In the Cauldron of War - Stalingrad. The graphics have remained virtually unchanged compared to the original. She’s all so sketchy. All changes affected the gameplay. The developers changed the balance and made many minor improvements to the gameplay. In addition to battles with bots, you can play together with a friend on the same computer. The indie title also allows you to fight with live opponents by exchanging files with them via email.
