Game Description

Inunaki Tunnel is a first-person psychological horror game based on the eerie legends surrounding a real-life sealed location in Fukuoka Prefecture. The narration is told through the lens of a video camera, which creates the effect of found film. The emphasis is shifted from sharp scares to creating an oppressive atmosphere and a feeling of disorientation. The device’s optics are particularly sensitive, reacting to objects with powerful spiritual energy and helping to highlight them against the background of a gloomy environment. At the center of the story is an anonymous protagonist who seeks to become famous by uncovering the secrets of this sinister place.

A successful ending directly depends on the character’s ability to find and return several sacred figurines to their pedestals. Exploring locations in the Inunaki Tunnel involves a constant risk of getting lost, as the vast and dark spaces provoke panic and disorientation. The project offers several options for resolution, the achievement of which is determined by actions throughout the entire passage. To get to the bottom of the truth and survive, the main character needs to complete a number of key tasks:

help a dog caught in a barbed wire trap. collect all the jizo figurines scattered around the territory. place each of the found relics on the altar intended for it. use a telephone booth to call the police after fulfilling all conditions.
