Choice of Life: Samosbor is a visual novel that immerses you in the gloomy reality of the endless Gigakhrushchevka. The usual way of life of its inhabitants collapses at one moment, when one of the blocks becomes isolated from the rest of the world. The reason for the cordon is the search for a mysterious secret object, turning gray everyday life into an intense struggle for survival. The mournful wail of a siren and the hermetically sealed doors of residential cells now foreshadow not just another shift, but an unknown filled with total control and suspicion. Each event calls into question the inviolability of the established order.
Before this incident, the life of the protagonist, a simple resident of a giant concrete structure, proceeded according to a strict schedule. Seven shifts at the machine in exchange for a bowl of concentrate and the imaginary approval of the party constituted the whole raison d’être of his existence. The narrative in Choice of Life: Samosbor suggests finding a way out of this vicious circle, where every decision made can lead to unpredictable consequences. The branched plot forces you to constantly make choices that determine the future fate of not only the main character, but also those around him in this dystopian world.
