Donna: The Canine Quest is a pixel action role-playing game in which the central place is given to the story of saving the magical world from the demonic threat hanging over it. Exploring the colorful world of Barkhaven, ranging from sun-drenched fields to ancient ruins and enemy-infested forests, is seamlessly combined with dynamic combat. Gameplay is built around a combination of fast-paced hack-and-slash combat, collecting valuable loot, and using a simple but functional crafting system. The adventure is designed to be accessible to a wide audience while still rewarding curiosity and a willingness to experiment with abilities and equipment.
The main character of the story is Donna, a brave Rottweiler warrior, on whose shoulders falls the task of protecting her native lands from the invasion of darkness. In Donna: The Canine Quest, players take control of this particular character to fight back against the forces of evil. Armed with the family blade and awakened magical powers, she must rally the other dogs to fight the ensuing chaos. Her path runs through enchanted forests, eerie cemeteries, forgotten crypts and the fiery depths of the underworld, where danger awaits at every turn.
The source of all disasters was a once noble bull terrier named Rocco Hell’s Messenger. Succumbing to the influence of a forbidden force, he opened a portal to the other world, releasing hordes of aggressive creatures. This event plunged the peaceful settlements and ancient ruins of Barkhaven into danger, turning them into battlefields. Donna’s main goal is to confront this fallen hero and restore the broken balance, which will require her to uncover the lost secrets of her family and battle mythical monsters.
