Game Description
D.O.T. Defense involves building towers, gathering forces and seizing control of the map for the sake of victory - you need to save your headquarters last. Gamers fight in local sessions that support one-on-one, two-on-two, or all-versus-all formats against live or AI opponents. The player’s task is to systematically destroy enemy headquarters while simultaneously protecting his own base. This real-time strategy title combines tower defense mechanics and automated squad battles.
Gameplay in DOT Defense is built around a simplified economic model tied to controlling areas on the map. Battles involve automation, requiring commanders to issue general orders or direct the path of units to target targets. Units are also capable of operating autonomously to capture designated points, simplifying microcontrol. Games typically last 5-10 minutes, focusing on quick tactical decisions and resource allocation.
Defending areas is key as they yield resources, which requires defending against advancing enemy forces using various types of turrets. Commanders strategically select, place and, if necessary, sell defensive towers based on the composition of the attacking enemies. An alternative game type, Wave Defense, aims to gradually expand territory and collect supplies to improve sectors. In this format, there are special types of opponents, powerful strengthening of positions with towers is required, and sometimes merchants appear with modifications for buildings.
