Dream Abyss Survivors is a spontaneous role-playing adventure that immerses brave heroines in a surreal dream world, where they must fight back endless waves of nightmarish creatures. Each foray into the depths of the nightmare becomes a unique challenge thanks to an extensive progression system. Gamers create a variety of fighting styles by combining 65 skills, 17 variable characteristics and 23 power-up cards. Countless hordes of monsters and powerful bosses are destroyed by one of four selectable protagonists, each of whom has a unique set of abilities and a special style of combat in this vibrant anime fantasy.
The main character of the story is a girl named Lily, who is desperate to save her little sister Lumi. Plunging into the abyss of other people’s nightmares, Lily enters into battle with the creatures of darkness to rescue her sister from the captivity of terrifying dreams. Plot events in Dream Abyss: Survivors are revealed gradually, as successive levels filled with secrets and stories are cleared. This journey through phantasmagoric landscapes tests not only her fighting skills, but also her determination.
This roguelike action game’s structure features a series of procedurally generated dungeons where each stage challenges your ability to adapt. Advancing deeper into the nightmare dimension involves overcoming several difficulty levels, including Nightmare and Hell modes, designed for the most seasoned warriors. Each location is guarded not only by ordinary opponents, but also by four formidable mini-bosses, and in the finale there will inevitably be a clash with the powerful ruler of nightmares, victory over whom opens up new fragments of the story.
