Game Description
Duskpunk is a dark steampunk RPG where a former soldier must survive on the streets of Dredgeport. The main character, mistakenly declared dead, miraculously avoids being processed into fuel for a military machine. Finding himself in the heart of a metropolis, torn apart by corruption and gang power, he is left face to face with the harsh reality. He has only his own life and sanity at his disposal, the preservation of which becomes a paramount task in a world where even the dead serve in war.
The basis of gameplay is dice rolls that determine the outcome of skill checks. The player needs to carefully monitor 3 key indicators: health, energy and stress level, the accumulation of which imposes negative effects on the character. Each day in Duskpunk offers a limited number of actions, forcing you to wisely distribute your time between earning money, exploring dark neighborhoods and finding allies. Movement around the city is limited by checkpoints, creating a feeling of enclosed space.
The storyline offers significant freedom of choice, allowing you to join the existing order or lead a revolution against the fascist regime. The characters you meet along the way, like the priest Brother Reichek, have ambiguous motivations and can either help or pursue their own goals. The protagonist will have to make connections, look for fake documents to evade recruiters, and even participate in political debates. Not only the fate of the hero, but also the future of the entire Dredgeport depends on the decisions made.
