In Dying Breed, gamers will have to command troops in a post-apocalyptic world to combat the spreading threat. The essence of the conflict is to confront zombies and hostile factions with the help of retrofuturistic technologies. To conduct operations, it is necessary to gather resources and build functional bases that support military campaigns. The dystopian plot is presented through a series of videos with live actors, revealing the goals of the missions and introducing the characters of the universe.
The tactical component of Dying Breed is built on the rapid expansion of the base with the help of a special beetle unit that constructs buildings at increased speed. This mechanic allows you to quickly gain a foothold in the area before organizing attacks in several directions. Commanders can launch coordinated attacks from land, sea and air, or use underground networks for covert maneuvers. Interiors and caves serve as points for ambushes and secret troop movements, adding depth to strategic planning.
The gamer’s tasks include not only direct control in battle, but also exploration of the big world. On the new maps you will have to face different environmental conditions and types of opponents. Successfully completing missions gives you access to improved weapons and new unit abilities needed to counter more serious threats. Every decision, from the selection of units to their placement on the battlefield, directly affects the outcome of the battle and requires precise actions to survive in a protracted war.
