Game Description

Effulgence RPG is a party-based adventure in which the hostile inhabitants of the world are not just obstacles, but the main source of resources for survival. Defeated opponents disintegrate into particles, which serve as raw materials for creating new equipment. Using a special material printer, the squad can transform these particles into weapons and useful mechanisms, which is central to progression. The entire process of exploration and combat takes place in a sci-fi world that consists entirely of text characters located in three-dimensional space. This style transforms the environment into an artistic exploration of light and symbols.

Traveling through dozens of available locations allows you to find new drawings for the printer, expanding the arsenal of items available for creation to more than a hundred items. The advanced character progression system is closely tied to this mechanic, as crafting more advanced equipment directly affects the squad’s capabilities. The plot of Effulgence RPG revolves around receiving and decoding a signal that traveled a million light years from a distant galaxy to Earth. The entire history of this mysterious and possibly no longer existing world appears in the form of text animation, assembled from fragments of the received transmission. This poses the main question for researchers: are they observing a living civilization or just its long-extinct echo.
