Ex-Zodiac seems to take users back 20 years ago, when arcade shooters were the top topic for gamers. The plot is extremely simple. The main character, named Kiu, fights with representatives of the terrorist organization Zodiac, which invaded the Sanzaru star system and tried to take over. The enemy’s forces greatly outnumber her allies, but the girl intends to use all her skills and combat experience to repel the villains.

The Ex-Zodiac campaign consists of 12 main levels, each of which is located in a separate location with a specific design. Glaciers, island archipelagos and outer space constantly push players into new environments. Although the heroine moves along a pre-formed trajectory, she should still avoid collisions with objects located there and move away from enemy fire. Of course, some units can attack from behind, and this cannot be predicted, but if you carefully monitor what is happening from the front, you can significantly increase your chances of winning. To command aimed fire, use the option to lock onto the target when it hits the sight. If several targets appear in front of the character at once, it is necessary to set priorities and decide who to attack first. At the end of each level there will be a boss battle, and each of the 12 bosses has its own characteristics in terms of combat and movement dynamics.
