Game Description
Gladiator Manager invites gamers into a world of bloody battles, where you are the manager of a team of gladiators who must win not only the championship, but also the cup. This is a sports management and tactical combat simulator with a text component. You have to recruit new fighters, evaluate their potential and skills, train and choose the most suitable combination to defeat your opponents. Gladiators can be veterans, citizens, criminals, or slaves, each with their own unique gameplay mechanics and characteristics, and are divided into six classes: gladiator, rogue, barbarian, defender, retiarius, and leader. Each class can hybridize by choosing skills from other trees.
Combat is turn-based, tactical and deeply simulated. A key feature is that all orders are issued by the player and the AI simultaneously, resulting in a “rock, paper, scissors” outcome depending on whether fighters are attacking, defending, moving, or attempting a special tactic. The chances of success depend largely on the relative control of the fighters, which in turn depends on whether they were able to successfully defend themselves in previous turns. Fighters can access over 30 special moves and over 60 passive benefits as they level up. Beautiful portraits of fighters are created by a powerful random image generator that can create a huge number of combinations from different parts, created by the wonderful French artist Mesril.
