Game Description

GRADIUS ORIGINS is a collection of titles from the space shooter series. This collection includes 7 arcade titles from the history of the franchise, offering 18 different versions of them to play. The set includes the Salamander 3 title along with the original video game, including the Japanese, North American and European releases. Gamers also have access to numerous iterations of Salamander and Life Force, giving insight into the development of the arcade series.

The GRADIUS ORIGINS collection continues with Gradius 2: Gofer no Yabou and its 4 separate assemblies. Next up is Gradius 3: Densetsu kara Shinwa e, which includes a version of AM Show that debuted on a home system. This variant complements the old, new and Asian iterations of the third part. Salamander2 completes the collection, complementing the line of historical arcade releases presented in the set.

New features complement the core gameplay in this collection. You can use save states to record your progress and a rewind function to undo actions. Practice mode allows the player to customize parameters such as restart points, number of cycles, and power-up status. Immortality mode is also available as an option. In addition, the gallery contains a library of music tracks and a variety of images from each of the 7 projects.
