Gunpoint takes the user to the near future, where many interesting spy things have been invented. Richard Conway works as a spy for hire, performing a variety of tasks. One day he gets a special copy - hyperpants. This item of clothing helps you jump over huge distances, and also help you fall from a height without harm to your health. The protagonist receives a new task - to investigate the murder of an employee of a weapons company. The guy must understand the circumstances of the strange crime.

The passage of the Line of Fire consists of different missions. The tasks here are varied, for example, you need to enter a protected area, steal or replace or reprogram any information. The structures have a cross-sectional view, so the player sees the guards and the location of the desired terminal. The protagonist is able to jump distances and even jump to upper floors, and can also climb walls and ceilings. In the process, it’s worth upgrading these skills and acquiring useful gadgets, for example, the ability to reconfigure enemy weapons or break windows without corresponding sounds.

Richard is able to work with terminals remotely and penetrate various devices in the building, changing their operation. Thus, when the light is turned on, the door may open, but once in the view of the security camera, the alarm will not turn on, but the elevator will arrive. The obstacles here are security and locked doors. You should hide from the first ones and distract them by reprogramming the devices, and also stun them by sneaking up behind them. And you can force a security guard to unlock the lock or change the purpose of the buttons.
