Game Description
Heart of the Woods is a fantasy visual novel that combines many elements of the unreal, such as fairies, ghost girls, magic and otherworldly activity. The project is as friendly as possible to minorities, because the main character is lesbian Maddie Raines, who has a best friend named Tara, a vlogger who is developing her own blog on the Internet by covering resonant topics that volunteers to help in the investigation of paranormal phenomena in the forest near the village of Eisenfeld. The virtual protégé agreed to this trip for the sake of a change of scenery, because her life, where she has to combine several jobs to gain financial independence, is quite difficult and mentally tiring.
Much of the gameplay in “Heart of the Forest” is devoted to obtaining information from numerous dialogues with local residents. Each of the 130 thousand words used in the replicas was voiced and duplicated with text to better assimilate a huge amount of new data, which helps in the investigation of an ancient curse that has been haunting people for more than 200 years, or in the development of relationships between Maddie and the numerous girls of the village. In addition to the two main heroines, two more representatives of the fair sex take an active part in the plot - Morgan Fisher and Abigail. The first is due to the settlement of the daughter, the second is that same ghost, doomed to constantly wander in the forests due to a curse.
