Heartspell: Horizon Academy

Heartspell: Horizon Academy is a visual novel with match-3 puzzle elements, in which building deep connections with characters is closely intertwined with the practice of magic. The basis of the gameplay is interaction with 11 unique protagonists, including sirens, werewolves and fairies. Strengthening friendships or romantic bonds with them opens up access to new spells. These spells, in turn, are used to solve puzzles that represent the process of creating magic.

Events unfold within the walls of the Horizon Academy of Witchcraft, an eclectic educational institution located in the world of spirits. The plot of Heartspell: Horizon Academy revolves around the mysterious disappearance of the director, after which the students are left to maintain order on their own. The main character, as a newcomer, will not only have to master magic, but also reveal secrets that threaten the very existence of the academy.

The match-3 mechanics receive a unique development thanks to the individual characteristics of the characters, which influence the conditions for solving problems. For example, scenes with the warlike Typhon add dangerous stones with a timer to the field, and only combinations of four or more elements count for Amara’s impression. For successful completion, experience is awarded, which can be spent on improving skills or gaining additional moves for future challenges.

The project offers significant freedom of choice, allowing you to develop relationships in a platonic or romantic way without any restrictions or content blocking. The decisions made shape the destinies of those around you, and the overall narrative lasts more than 20 hours. For those who prefer to focus solely on the plot, there is a special mode that completely disables the puzzles.
