Game Description
Hell Clock places players in 19th century Brazil during the War of Canudus, an era involving asylum and government action that resulted in the deaths of 25,000 people. Gamers will have to control Page, a fighter whose task is to return the soul of the Advisor, his mentor, from otherworldly captivity. Each dive into the game’s dark zones warps time; Page’s capabilities increase when confronted with the forces responsible for the death of his mentor and the imprisonment of his soul.
In Hell Clock, the process is based on battles with the revived minions of former oppressors and parallel acquisition of equipment. Risky forays into disputed areas yield equipment with unique properties and lead to encounters with figures representing repressed realities. Players will hunt for ancient Relics, artifacts that hold the essence of resistance, to create skill sets that channel Canudus' resolve.
Page uses skills born in conflict: rapid attacks with a knife, using the Canudus bell to attack, or rapid-fire pistol fire. Each new descent provides an opportunity to resist historical injustice through combinations of Blessings, improving the character build. These encounters involve encounters with manifestations related to the challenges of Brazil’s past, present and future. The title offers customizable difficulty: there is an option without time limits and another for those looking for an increased challenge. There is a three-act story campaign.
