Game Description
Hidden Deep is a sci-fi thriller with shooter and puzzle elements. The scene of action is an oceanic underwater base located at a depth of 1.6 kilometers. The single-player campaign, which takes 20 hours to complete, begins with the recording of anomalous activity on the territory of the research laboratory. A group of rescuers was sent to reconnaissance of the situation and stayed there for more than a year, after which contact with them was interrupted. The second team includes a protagonist who wants to save the missing and find out the circumstances of what happened. The role of the main character is the captain of the squad, which means that the player needs to give orders to the rest of the people included in the expeditionary rescue group.
Each level of the story campaign is filled with all sorts of dangers on the way to completing the passage. The main character will stumble not only on traps, closed doors, rubble and strange sounds, but also on real alien creatures that got to this place through an unknown route. The plot twists and turns are filled with Easter eggs and references to legendary franchises, for example, “Alien” or “Half-Life”. The protagonist has at his disposal a huge arsenal of all kinds of devices that will help him overcome any difficulties: a grappling hook, scanning drones that allow him to scout neighboring laboratory compartments, heavy special equipment for dismantling rubble and much more. Each device will come in handy during a rescue operation, when every minute counts.
