Game Description
HorrorVale is an old school JRPG. While exploring locations, the user watches what is happening from above. During battles, the camera changes its perspective to a first-person view. In this case, the heroes appear on the screen when they strike opponents. Dialogue scenes feature large character sprites, similar to visual novels.
Events take place in a city called HorrorVale. This settlement is home to zombies, ghosts and other horror creatures. One day, atypical monsters appear there and begin to terrorize the local population. The girl Alice, who looks like a skeleton and a witch, and her zombie dog Scruffy will have to deal with the problem. As you progress, other fighters join the squad. The narrative is divided into 4 acts. The plot is replete with humor.
There are a total of 30 creatures available for hire in the game. But only a few of them can take part in battles at the same time. The fights themselves take place step-by-step. Squad members are able to attack, use magic or skills, use items, take a defensive stance, and flee from battle. They gain experience for winning. As characters level up, they improve their characteristics and sometimes learn new abilities. You cannot distribute points according to parameters. The computer does this for the user. Heroes' attack and defense, luck and speed, health, mana, etc. increase.
