Game Description

Isle of Jura tells the story of Alex’s expedition to the remote island of the same name - a special location created to transport the protagonist. The main motive of the heroine is study; she needs materials about local fauna to complete a biological report. To achieve this goal, Alex documents the diverse fish found in the surrounding waters through direct contact.

The player takes control of Alex, guiding her through third-person exploration and data collection across the island. The journey involves field work and methodical exploration of the geographical features presented in the game world. Gameplay in Isle of Jura places an emphasis on fishing, challenging you to find and successfully catch over 50 unique species of fish. Success in different bodies of water depends on understanding and correctly applying the 3 separate fishing techniques available in this simulator.

Complementing the basic fishing experience is the freedom to explore the world around you at a pace determined by the gamer, allowing you to discover hidden areas or interesting objects scattered throughout the area. During your travels, you can find various artifacts that directly contribute to filling out the island’s collection log, representing a secondary task. The interaction extends to the local population found in the Jura. There are opportunities to interact with different residents through dialogue options during Alex’s stay. These conversations can provide useful information or context regarding the location or its inhabitants.
