Journey to the West follows the adventures of a group of adventurers who are forced to make their way through dangerous lands and fight monsters. The setting is made in the oriental flavor of dark fantasy, where users will be able to try out gameplay mechanics in the style of a deck-building battler. The project contains roguelike elements, which add variety to the progression process, and also create random events and combat encounters. Gamers will have to build a deck by combining unique ability cards.

Battles in Divinity Chronicles: Journey to the West take place in various locations, where you have to select cards suitable for attack or defense. Users will gradually upgrade their characters and strengthen their own squad of adventurers. Get to know the personal storylines of each protagonist that were inspired by the story of “Journey to the West.” Users will complete various quests, meet colorful personalities and talk with them, and make their own decisions, which will influence the events that take place and the ending. You will have to determine the fate of the Divine Realm, as well as reveal the true power of each hero, among whom are: Wukong (Monkey King), White Dragon and Holy Monk. The fighters have different fighting skills. For example, Wukong will be able to control the length and weight of the Monkey King Bar, call on monkeys for help, and also turn into opponents, acquiring their abilities.
