Game Description

Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer is set in 1998, taking place in the urban environment of Cassidy, where disturbing events occur. The player takes on the role of private detective Katie Raine, who is faced with serious personal problems that require financial resources. Her vehicle is in need of fuel, her food supply is nearly exhausted, and she is facing eviction. At this moment, information appears about a large monetary reward for solving a series of murders that shocked the city’s residents.

The central pursuit in Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer targets a man known as the Soothsayer, who is responsible for a string of serial deaths. The gameplay requires the detective to find clues, collect physical evidence and establish connections between disparate facts to form a complete picture of what happened. Successful progress leads to a direct meeting with the person who committed these crimes. Chasing this man involves significant personal risk for Katie herself; the investigator may become the next victim of the one she is looking for.
