Keep the Heroes Out is an asymmetrical cooperative strategy game, an adaptation of the board game of the same name for 1-4 people. The entire gameplay is based on protecting the dungeon from the attacks of self-proclaimed heroes seeking to plunder the treasury. Participants will take control of monsters, each of which has a unique set of abilities and a starting deck of cards. Effective interaction and clever combination of monster skills, performing roles from crowd control to support, becomes the key to success in solving constantly changing tactical puzzles. Progress is expressed in the ability to create new cards, thereby improving and personalizing your deck for a more effective confrontation.

The main task is to protect treasures from invaders over several waves. After the player’s turn ends, the attack phase begins, when bands of adventurers enter the catacombs. Losing all the valuables from the vault in Keep the Heroes Out means immediate defeat for the entire team. The death of an individual monster does not lead to elimination from the session, since it can always be returned to service. Numerous levels with unique dungeon layouts and special rules add variety to the experience, from collecting frogs for the witch Olga to participating in a music competition. Controlling your own creatures involves performing a number of tactical maneuvers:

activating unique skills to gain an advantage; distribution of available actions among several units; timely replenishment of the hand to five cards at the end of the turn.
