Game Description
Liminal Void is a psychedelic immersion into a surreal world where the ultimate goal is to confront the Gods of the Void. Their abode is located at the 444th level of the dungeon, and reaching this layer is inevitable for everyone. However, the outcome of the decisive battle directly depends on the accumulated resources, because to win you will need to unleash a barrage of powerful spells on your opponents. The key currency for this are Sigils, the collection of which becomes the main task throughout the descent into the abyss. Without a sufficient supply, even the most skilled spellcaster will be destroyed in the final clash.
Death in this world is not the end, but only one of the ways to move deeper. Each death randomly transfers the character to the next level, making it impossible to collect more valuable Sigils and souls. The Liminal Void project forces you to constantly balance on the brink of risk. Extracting souls from hostile entities not only replenishes your spell arsenal, but also extends the time until your next inevitable death, giving you a chance to better explore the current layer. This continuous cycle of resource management forms the basis of all gameplay.
The player takes on the role of one of four mages of the Liminal Layer Society, an organization that protects reality from invasions from the Void. Each of the available characters has a unique fighting style, a set of spells and its own story. The decisions and actions you take directly influence the development of events, leading to one of 16 different endings. The journey through dark and chaotic levels is accompanied by elements of psychological horror, diluted with dark humor and constantly changing visual effects, creating an oppressive but mesmerizing atmosphere.
