LOST EMBER: Rekindled Edition is about exploring the world left by humanity through the eyes of its wild inhabitants. A wolf comes under control and is accompanied on his journeys by a faithful companion. Together they will uncover the secrets of the past and learn about the reasons for the fall of civilization, going through a five-hour adventure. The narrative reveals a dramatic story touching on themes of loyalty, despair and betrayal. Echoes of the long-vanished culture of Yanran come to life amidst the lush wilderness. The project immerses in the atmosphere of contrast between the decline of people and the riot of revived nature that has captured the ruins.
A key mechanic allows you to inhabit any creature you encounter to look at the world from a completely new perspective. Thanks to this, in LOST EMBER: Rekindled Edition you can soar over canyons as a parrot or explore the depths of a lake as a fish. Transforming into a wombat, you can ride through the grass, and in the form of a mountain goat, you can climb steep cliffs. The hero’s wanderings will take him into dense jungles, under the canopy of tropical forests, to barren desert plains and to archaic temples. The re-release also brings visual improvements and a new free roam mode, opening up a large world with several biomes, where all the animals and new mini-challenges are available.
