Game Description

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a remake released in 2020, a continuation of the famous gangster action game Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, released in 2002. The events of the new mafia take the player to the Lost Haven metropolis of the early 1930s. The narration is told from the perspective of a taxi driver, Thomas Angelo, who, against his will, finds himself in the ups and downs of mafia showdowns waging a bloody war with each other, while in the 2020 re-release of Mafia 2, the role of the protagonist is the military man Vito Scaletta, trained to kill people.

In a full-fledged remaster, the textures were redrawn from scratch, and the game itself was completely moved to an updated engine. Significantly redesigned controls and environmental details - all in order to meet modern video game standards. The gameplay is presented in the form of a third-person shooter with racing arcade elements. The hero can use melee weapons, including brass knuckles, knives, baseball bats and others. A system of police fines has been implemented for speeding or causing an accident. The New Mafia brings many innovations:

the game uses RTX reflections and global illumination technologies; Falconer Yellowcar began to resemble a real Stutz Black Hawk prototype significantly increased vehicle fleet; the action is moved to 1933, during the heyday of Prohibition; the roles of several characters are expanded; some events will occur at different times of the day.

The first part of the new Mafia of 2020 is a re-interpretation of the classic, capable of giving new emotions to old fans and introducing newcomers who are just taking their first steps on the slippery mafia slope to the origins of the series.
