Game Description
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up focused on interstellar conflict. The player will have to choose from 15 heroes to confront the Annihilation Wave, a force threatening the galaxy under the leadership of Annihilus. The story takes place in a variety of locations, starting on Earth, such as New York, and extending into space, including the Negative Zone. Figures like Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell and Captain America are among the available protagonists to join the efforts against this galactic menace.
The gameplay of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion uses a team-switching mechanic called Cosmic Swap. This feature allows you to select two heroes before the start of a level, allowing you to instantly switch between them during the action. Character abilities are designed to interact, encouraging the use of combo moves and matching specific pairings for combat situations. The structure of this game supports both local and online co-op multiplayer, allowing you to work together against opponents.
The conflict escalates when the Annihilation Wave begins its attack, threatening existence throughout the cosmos. Gamers lead a chosen pair of heroes through a variety of stages, engaging waves of enemies associated with Annihilus. The cast of characters represents individuals from across the Marvel Universe, including earthly protectors and cosmic entities. The goal remains the same - to repel the invading forces and stop the advance led by Annihilus through star systems.
