Game Description
Master of Command is a project in which command of the armies of the Seven Years' War is presented as a harsh struggle for survival. Resource management is becoming as important as tactical superiority on the battlefield. A commander on a procedurally generated map hidden in the fog of war is constantly faced with a dilemma: make a rapid forced march, risking running out of supplies, or make a stop to replenish supplies, giving the enemy precious time to regroup. Every decision made directly affects the morale and combat effectiveness of soldiers.
More than 150 historically recreated units belonging to five leading European powers: Prussia, Austria, Russia, Great Britain and France are available to form a powerful military force. Both elite units, such as the Prussian Death’s Head Hussars or the British Highland Grenadiers, as well as less expensive but numerous troops, such as Russian recruits, can be called up under the banners. In Master of Command, the army is created in accordance with the military doctrine of the chosen faction, which allows you to rely either on discipline and training, or on numerical superiority.
The ultimate goal of each unpredictable campaign is to locate and then destroy the main enemy camp. The path to victory runs through tactical battles, where any loss is felt. On the map there are villages, convoys and fields of past battles, promising the opportunity to replenish the treasury and recruit new soldiers, but these same locations can turn out to be deadly traps. The combination of roguelike elements and classic strategy provides high replay value, forcing gamers to constantly adapt their approach to warfare with each new playthrough.
