Game Description
In Microtopia, you control a colony of robotic ants, directing them to perform various tasks and managing a complex network of resources and environments. First, you send a queen to the colony, and then the ants must work together to gather materials, produce goods, and feed the queen to ensure the colony thrives. As you progress, you will have to build transport routes and use pheromones to direct the ants in the right direction. It’s a mixture of strategy, resource management and biological simulator.
The real challenge in Microtopia is to optimize how the ants perform their duties. You can assign workers to different roles: flying ants, digging ants, or invention ants. This will allow you to create an effective system in which each type of ant will contribute to the development of the colony. As you progress, new technologies and improvements become available that allow you to customize the functions of the colony to your liking.
Sensors and logic gates help improve the decision-making process by sorting ants based on traits, which in turn keeps the supply chain running smoothly. The title also encourages you to explore the world outside your colony. New habitats are full of potential resources, but they come with their own challenges. You can send your queen to different places, initiating a mating flight to spread the colony. You will have to balance between the growth of the settlement and the impact of ants on the environment.
