Game Description
NIGHTBELL is a first-person psychological horror that immerses you in the unsettling atmosphere of Christmas night, when the usual feeling of safety in your own home is replaced by a feeling of constant threat. Exploration of a once cozy home becomes a central mechanic, as familiar rooms and corridors are transformed beyond recognition, and shadows and sounds take on an ominous character. The gameplay forces you to constantly seek shelter from unknown danger, carefully listening to your surroundings. To move forward, you will have to follow the mysterious ringing of the bell and piece together scattered clues to understand the true nature of the events taking place.
The story is told from the perspective of a little boy who stayed with his mother on a festive evening, waiting for a miracle. The starting point of the nightmare is a story about a witch heard before going to bed. Waking up in the middle of the night from an ominous ringing, the protagonist discovers the sudden disappearance of his mother. Soon after, he comes face to face with a creature that eerily resembles her appearance. The NIGHTBELL project leaves behind an alarming aftertaste, because when morning comes, everything that happened seems like just a child’s dream. However, some details of what happened do not fit into the framework of a harmless nightmare, casting doubt on the reality of the experience.
