Game Description

OFF begins with the introduction of a character named Batter, who has taken on a sacred mission to cleanse a world inhabited by ghosts. Assistance in this matter is provided by an external entity called the controller or soul contained in the protagonist’s body. The hero is guided on his journey through an eerie and hopeless world by a mysterious, grinning cat named the Judge. The quest requires the player to guide the Batter through isolated areas to complete this objective.

Progress in the OFF project involves solving puzzles and fighting hostile creatures living in the wild areas of the world. In addition, the main character needs to manage the logistics of a transport network consisting of swan boats and intercity locomotives. Each location is inhabited by creatures described as strange and charming, but seemingly in need of the Batter’s intervention. The mission focuses on the beneficial use of the protagonist’s muscular wrist to bring his form of purity to these regions.

The Judge travels extensively throughout the zones, appearing at crucial moments to address the controller, whom he calls a phantom. This feline companion is present in spirit and body at the most important moments of the quest. Progress through the setting forces you to interact with its inhabitants and systems under the pretext of a noble task. The controller’s actions and decisions ultimately guide the Batter toward one of several possible conclusions to his sacred mission.
