One-Eyed Likho is a first-person adventure that draws its plot from a Slavic fairy tale. This project takes the player to 19th century Russia - a region presented in shades of gray and designed to be explored. The main goal is personal: to find the titular creature and avoid your own evil fate. Progress through the plot depends on direct exploration of the world and revealing its secrets in order to escape from a state of psychological discomfort.
The plot is based on the myth of Likha, the embodiment of misfortune in folklore. This creature is described as having one eye, often taking the form of an old, thin woman dressed in black. To navigate the world of FAVORITE ONE-EYE, you will have to use mechanics based on interaction with fire. The use of a limited supply of matches to illuminate the path is necessary when solving puzzles and interacting with objects in the gaming environment.
The protagonist’s actions drive the story forward, focusing on learning to uncover the truth about the situation. This single-player game functions as an interactive narrative, allowing discoveries made to influence the outcome and leading to different endings. The gameplay offers a mystery with supernatural elements and philosophical questions about fate.
