Game Description
Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is a 2D top-down action adventure focused on urban exploration. Gamers navigate vast environments, mastering yo-yo maneuvers for movement and direct confrontation. The task is to counter rival criminal leaders and their henchmen in different areas of the metropolis in order to regain the influence of the Pipistrello family.
This project combines combat, movement and puzzles, all presented in a plot that reveals corporate intrigue. In Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, the virtual character uses a personal yo-yo as the main means of combat and movement in the city. The study covers 4 areas, including more than 1000 locations with tests and hidden areas. Characters infiltrate the properties of 4 crime lords by navigating their labyrinthine buildings, requiring a tactical approach and fast-paced puzzle solving.
Advancement depends on mastering more than 10 tricks and special techniques, which open access to advanced movement routes and tactical tricks in battles. The project encourages the search for alternative ways to overcome space, since each new technique allows us to take a fresh look at the urban environment. The combination of these maneuvers opens up previously inaccessible areas; many obstacles allow for multiple options for overcoming. Heroes can earn over 40 collectible badges that modify their playstyle, and unlock over 20 passive upgrades through the illegal loan shark.
