Game Description

Quake II RTX offers a new look at the classic project. This became possible thanks to the introduction of RTX technology. So, now the usual corridors and battle arenas look completely new, the hero models have a more acceptable appearance, and the shot animations have become more spectacular.

As for the gameplay component, Quake II RTX is no different from the original in this component. Users are transported to arenas where they fight each other in a certain number of rounds. As they move through locations, they can use amplifiers, jump on trampolines installed at certain points, or pick up new weapons. But in addition to the multiplayer mode, the game contains a story campaign. Here, the focus is on the conflict between humans and the Strogg race. Intent on protecting Earth from invasion, the army decides to launch a counter-offensive on the creatures' home planet of Stroggos. But due to problems during the landing, the main character is separated from the main group, and he is thrown to the outskirts of the enemy base. There, he will have to make his way through the complex and military base, destroying key objects (air defense system, plant for the production of new soldiers, etc.).

At the same time, in the story campaign the user will not have additional landmarks or a map to rely on. Therefore, you will have to look for passages to new areas of locations and find mechanisms for interaction on your own. Enemies begin to attack as soon as the character appears in their field of vision. However, if you go into cover, they will stop shooting and try to detect the gamer again. This factor can be used to change position and attack when least expected.
