Game Description
Refate Echoes of Desire is a cinematic adventure where the protagonist’s consciousness returns to the neon streets of Tokyo, and the memory of the past is completely erased. Finding himself in the midst of a violent conflict between powerful Yakuza clans and police forces, the protagonist is forced to survive without any money or allies. The only way to restore his lost identity is to build relationships with eight completely different women, each of whom holds a piece of the puzzle of his past.
Interaction with them gradually lifts the veil of secrecy over who he really was: an ordinary clerk, a secret agent, an assassin or a crime boss. The gameplay is based on the mechanics of interactive cinema with a first-person view, immersing you in the atmosphere of criminal Japan. All scenes in Refate: Echoes of Desire were filmed with the participation of real actors against the backdrop of authentic Tokyo locations, which gives maximum authenticity to what is happening. The development of the plot directly depends on the decisions made in the dialogues and on the success of completing intense QTE scenes.
These episodes, organically woven into the narrative, determine not only the hero’s survival in dangerous situations, but also which of the dozens of possible endings awaits him. The key to unraveling the mystery of the protagonist’s identity is his connections with unique heroines. Among them are the cold and domineering head of the Yakuza clan, a principled policewoman, a mysterious ninja woman and a caring restaurant owner. You will also have to gain the trust of a naive foreign student, a lonely teacher, an eccentric heiress to a wealthy family and a popular fashion model.
